Trailhead starts at Fish Creek campground, 6 miles from Scofield. Take road north of Scofield on west side of reservoir to Forest Development Road #123. TL and follow 123 to campground. Trail ends on Skyline Drive, (FR #150) 14 miles N. of junction of SR 31 & SR 264.


Passes through Blackhawk Formation rock (78-82 million years) - coal production area. Parallels the stream with multiple crossings. Climbs 1100 ft. - willows, grass, brush, canyon, aspen, links into other loop trails.
