Location: Rapid River, Central Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
The Rapid River Ski Trail is located in the Central Upper Peninsula (UP) of Michigan, 6 miles north of Rapid River and about 150 miles north of Green Bay, Wisconsin.
The trail includes 5 loops for beginner, intermediate and advance Nordic skiers and 2 loops for skate-skiers. The trail offers a pleasant outing for many levels of expertise. The pathways pass under pine and aspen, oak and maple, as well as small meadows, boggy wetlands, and tall sand dunes.
