Location: Deschutes National Forest; Just outside Bend, OR.
A series of three parallel trails winds through pine forests, lava flows and riparian zones along the variously placid and tumultuous waters of the Deschutes River. Low snow years can allow year-round use for most of this trail.
The Deschutes River Trail follows the Deschutes River upstream just outside of Bend, OR. The Deschutes River, at this point, is a wild and scenic river. The trail is very popular with hikers and mountain bikers. There are eight separate trailheads along the course of the trail.
